The COVID-19 pandemic’s disruptive and unprecedented challenges have been felt worldwide, impacting nearly every sector of society, and in particular, charitable giving. The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation launched a unique GoFundMe campaign, entitled DOG OF THE YEAR, to raise awareness and understanding about Bipolar Disorder and to recognize our furry best friends while helping the Foundation carry on with its mission. Since there is no substitute for the unconditional love, loyalty and joy pets can bring, especially during times of stress, participants are encouraged to create a “team,” or establish their own fundraiser by posting a photograph of their special dog that will compete with other teams/fundraisers across the county to vie for the title, DOG OF THE YEAR.

The team or fundraiser that raises the most funds by December 31, 2020 will be declared the winner, and their dog will be named “DOG OF THE YEAR." In addition, Susan Wilson, the New York Times bestselling author of seven books about dogs, will choose the best dog’s life story in the competition and that dog will also receive a special award, regardless of funds raised.

The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation welcomes your support of its efforts to change the course of Bipolar Disorder and help reduce the stigma associated with this serious illness of the brain. Stay Thirsty Magazine hopes that you will stand up and be counted and participate in supporting the Foundation’s quest to help millions of people and their families see a brighter day.
