Before long college loomed
with Asher’s acceptance to Princeton and Micaela’s to Carnegie Mellon. But fate
had a different path for each of them. Just days before she was to begin her
studies in Pittsburgh, Micaela was cast as Babe in The Cher Show on
Broadway, a role she would star in during the run of the play. College would have
to wait while Broadway intervened. For her performance, she was honored with a
Theatre World Award.
Asher, on the other hand,
took a leave of absence from Princeton when he was asked to join the National
Touring Company of Dear Evan Hansen, understudying the roles of Jared and Connor. Once again, college would have to wait.
Asher and Micaela’s talents
and chemistry are clear, and their individual futures in musical theatre are without
doubt. With young performers like Asher and Micaela, the
next generation of Broadway greats is in good hands.
