PORTNOY is a new Indie Folk-Rock group with roots in Manchester, UK, and Israel. Comprised of brothers Israel and Mendy, from a family of nine kids, their debut album, No Complaints, was released in 2019. Produced and recorded in Nashville, it was mixed and mastered in Israel.

Their streaming single, entitled “Spotified,” chronicles the trials and tribulations of young musicians struggling to make a name in Nashville.

Stay Thirsty Magazine decided to feature this new band because it has something intangible that resonates above the fray as it pits the vigor and hope of youth with the harsh reality of the music business.
